Edges & details
The small decisions shape the result.
An edge, a joint or a carefully placed cut-out can change how a surface looks and feels in use.
Edges
A profile that fits the room.
A restrained eased edge can feel clean and contemporary; a rounded profile can soften the appearance of a surface. Profile suitability depends on the chosen stone, thickness and fabrication requirements.
OZ’s original site includes a 3D edge gallery. Ask the team to confirm the profiles currently available and show a physical sample.

Sinks & appliances
Confirm the specifications.
Bring model details for the sink, tap, cooktop and any other item that requires an opening. Cut-outs should be based on confirmed specifications, not an approximate photograph.
- Undermount, top-mount or vessel sink arrangement
- Faucet holes and clearance around fixtures
- Finished edges and exposed sides
- Cabinet support, overhangs and installation access
Seams & layout
Plan how the pieces meet.
Seams may be needed depending on the layout, slab dimensions, access and fabrication. Discuss their position and the direction of the stone’s movement before confirming the layout.
Do not assume a seam-free result from a room photograph. Ask how the proposed layout will work in your actual space.
